Divisional Profile
Nuclear medicine currently provides a wide spectrum of
diagnostic procedures, in-vivo studies and therapy; all
pertaining to the use of unsealed sources of radioactivity.
Procedures cover the central nervous system, respiratory,
cardiac, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, endocrine, lymphatic
and skeletal systems. There is access to both SPECT and PET/
CT. All procedures are integrated into service provision, training
and research. In the department is also an osteodensitometer.
